002 KLEINES BAD / small bathroom

Ausgangslage
Ein Junggeselle heiratet. Von einem Tag zum anderen wird aus einem Singlehaushalt eine 4-köpfige Familie. • In dem bestehenden, renovierungsbedürftigen Bad mit 6,5 m2 Grundfläche, einem Waschbecken und einer Badewanne, soll ein weiteres Waschbecken, eine Dusche und ausreichend Stauraum für großes und kleines geschaffen werden. • Trotz der zusätzlichen Anforderungen soll der Raum großzügig, die Atmosphäre heiter und luftig sein – ein Bad zum Entspannen.

Konzept
Die Funktionsflächen wurden nach den Handlungsabläufen und der Verweildauer gegliedert. • Die Sanitär- und Einrichtungsgegenstände werden so platziert, dass die Verkehrs- und Bewegungsflächen auf ein Minimum reduziert werden können.

Umsetzung
Großzügige Spiegelflächen vergrößern den Raum optisch. • Wand- und Bodenflächen mit kleinformatigem Glasmosaik belegt. • Die Badewanne ist in einem lindenblattgrünen “Fliesenteppich“ eingebettet, die übrigen Raumflächen sind in mattem weiß gefliest. • Angenehme Oberflächen geben dem Raum Atmosphäre. • Funktionelle Möbel schaffen genügend Stauraum.

Initial Situation
A bachelor gets married. Overnight, a single household becomes a family of four. The existing bathroom, which is in need of renovation and has a floor area of ​​6.5 m², a sink, and a bathtub, needs to be expanded to include an additional sink, a shower, and ample storage space for all kinds of items. Despite the additional requirements, the room should feel spacious, with a bright and airy atmosphere – a bathroom for relaxation.

Concept
The functional areas were organized according to the flow of activities and the amount of time spent in the bathroom. Sanitary fixtures and furnishings are positioned to minimize circulation and movement areas.

Implementation
Generous mirrors visually enlarge the room. Walls and floors are covered with small-format glass mosaic tiles. The bathtub is set within a lime-leaf-green tile carpet, while the remaining surfaces are tiled in matte white. Pleasant surfaces create a pleasant atmosphere. Functional furniture provides plenty of storage space.
