Hinterhöfe sind Teil der gebauten Umwelt. Sie sind Übergangräume zwischen öffentlichem Raum und den gebauten, privaten oder öffentlichen Habitaten. Häufig vollig ungestaltet und dem Zufall und / oder sich selbst überlassen, sind sie trotzdem die erste Begegnung und Wahrnehmung der Bewohner, Besucher also der „Eintretenden“.
Die Sammlung ist eine Aneinandereihung von Beobachtetem; Sie nimmt keine Wertung vor sondern dokumentiert.
Backyards are part of the built environment. They are transitional spaces between public space and built, private, or public habitats. Often completely undesigned and left to chance and/or their own devices, they are nevertheless the first encounter and perception of residents, visitors, and thus of those entering. This collection is a series of observations; it makes no judgments but documents.
Curțile din spate fac parte din mediul construit. Sunt spații de tranziție între spațiul public și habitate construite, private sau publice. Adesea complet neproiectate și lăsate la voia întâmplării și/sau a propriilor lor acțiuni, ele reprezintă totuși prima întâlnire și percepție a locuitorilor, vizitatorilor și, prin urmare, a celor care intră.
